The ICA aims to support the continuous improvement of the policies, practices, models and success measures used by its members; stimulate collaboration on shared objectives; and increase the commercialization of research outcomes on a global basis. To this end, the ICA has engaged in a variety of projects over the years to create opportunities for members to coordinate and cooperate on global commercialization opportunities and challenges, as well as to promote and facilitate the exchange of ideas, knowledge and lessons learned from successes and failures.
The International Commercialization Alliance has developed an online survey to collect data from innovation intermediaries around the world on current practices in commercialization support. Participation in the survey is open to technology transfer organizations, research parks, incubators and accelerators, both public and private. Information on business models, sector focus, sources of funding and services provided are being collected. The resulting database and summary report will provide a snapshot of the demographics and trends in the global innovation support ecosystem.

The ICA is grateful for support from the Ontario Ministry of Innovation, Infrastructure and Employment.
