The ICA aims to support the continuous improvement of the policies, practices, models and success measures used by its members; stimulate collaboration on shared objectives; and increase the commercialization of research outcomes on a global basis. To this end, the ICA has engaged in a variety of projects over the years to create opportunities for members to coordinate and cooperate on global commercialization opportunities and challenges, as well as to promote and facilitate the exchange of ideas, knowledge and lessons learned from successes and failures.

ICA Commercialization Survey - We Want Your Input

The International Commercialization Alliance has developed an online survey to collect data from innovation intermediaries around the world on current practices in commercialization support. Participation in the survey is open to technology transfer organizations, research parks, incubators and accelerators, both public and private. Information on business models, sector focus, sources of funding and services provided are being collected. The resulting database and summary report will provide a snapshot of the demographics and trends in the global innovation support ecosystem.

The goals of the ICA survey project are to:

  • Create a global database of active innovation intermediaries
  • Raise awareness of the innovation support organizations in different countries and regions
  • Highlight the importance of the innovation support community globally

The database will be a valuable resource for

  • innovation intermediaries seeking to create partnerships with intermediaries from different countries and regions
  • companies looking for support globally
  • investors on the lookout for opportunities globally
  • governments wanting to compare and benchmark innovation support ecosystems in different regions and countries

You can complete the survey online by clicking here. All responses are confidential. Only aggregate results will be reported. Your participation will enhance the value of the final results.

All organizations that complete the survey will receive a copy of the summary report.

This survey project grew out of a workshop on commercialization models at the Third International Commercialization Forum, held in Toronto, Canada in March 2013. Thanks to workshop chair Michael Tadros, Senior Manager, Botin Foundation, Spain, for initiating this project.

The ICA is grateful for support from the Ontario Ministry of Innovation, Infrastructure and Employment.
